These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GetResumeAI website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by GetResumeAI ("GetResumeAI," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, clicking to accept, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

GetResumeAI is a software-as-a-service platform that helps users create professional resumes using artificial intelligence. The Service may include account registration, resume input forms, AI-assisted text generation, preview, PDF export, free-tier usage limits, and paid Pro subscriptions.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law and any express commitments in an order or plan description.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@getresumeai.org if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it current. We may refuse registration, reclaim usernames, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

When using GetResumeAI, you agree that you will:

• Provide resume information that is truthful to the best of your knowledge and appropriate for job applications;
• Review all AI-generated content before submitting it to employers, schools, or other third parties;
• Comply with applicable employment, advertising, and consumer laws in your jurisdiction;
• Respect the intellectual property and privacy rights of others (e.g. do not upload confidential employer data without authorization);
• Use the Service only for lawful personal or internal business purposes related to career documents;
• Not attempt to circumvent usage limits, payment requirements, or technical access controls.

You remain solely responsible for the content you input, the resumes you publish or share, and any consequences of their use.

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights;
• Generate or distribute fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful content;
• Impersonate another person, misrepresent your qualifications, or create misleading credentials;
• Upload malware, scrape or overload our systems, reverse engineer the Service except where permitted by law;
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent;
• Use automated means to abuse free tiers, create bulk accounts, or interfere with other users' access.

We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund, to the extent permitted by law.

Resume text produced by the Service is generated by third-party AI models based on your inputs. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable for a particular role or jurisdiction. You are responsible for verifying facts, dates, titles, and claims before relying on any generated content.

We do not guarantee that AI output is unique, free of similarity to other materials, or acceptable to any specific employer, applicant tracking system, or regulatory body.

GetResumeAI does not guarantee interviews, job offers, salary increases, or any employment outcome. The Service is a document-creation tool only. Hiring decisions are made solely by employers and candidates. Past performance of other users does not indicate future results.

Certain features require a paid Pro subscription. Prices, billing intervals, and included features are displayed at checkout or on our pricing materials and may change with notice where required.

• Payment processing: Payments are processed securely by Paddle or our secure payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges for subscription plans until you cancel.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date through the customer portal or other method we provide.
• Taxes: Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for any taxes imposed on your purchase.
• Refunds: Except where required by law or expressly stated in a promotional offer, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun. Contact support for billing disputes.
• Free tier: We may change free usage limits, features, or availability at any time.

Failure to pay may result in downgrade to free tier or loss of Pro features without liability to you.

Our property: The Service, including software, design, branding, logos, documentation, and underlying technology, is owned by GetResumeAI or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business use in accordance with these Terms.

Your content:You retain ownership of the information you submit ("User Content"). You grant GetResumeAI a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display User Content solely to operate, improve, and secure the Service (including providing AI generation through subprocessors).

Output: Subject to your compliance with these Terms and applicable law, we assign to you our rights, if any, in the specific resume text generated for you from your User Content, to the extent permitted by our agreements with AI providers. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve the Service.

If you send suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without obligation or compensation to you.

By you: You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting support@getresumeai.org. Cancel subscriptions through the customer portal or dashboard tools we provide to avoid future charges.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, create legal or security risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GETRESUMEAI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those cases, disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GETRESUMEAI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IN ANY TWELVE (12) MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO GETRESUMEAI FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

The limitations above do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as fraud or intentional misconduct where prohibited).

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GetResumeAI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GetResumeAI is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise.

Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@getresumeai.org to attempt informal resolution. Where permitted, disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction for GetResumeAI's principal place of business, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date indicates the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
